The S&P500 lost 94 points last week. I was also expecting a lower market. However, my daily forecast was also approximately correct on all days.
Here is the expected breakdown for the week of August 21, 2023, to August 25, 2023.
A new monthly solar return chart is applicable from August 20 and will stay effective until September 19. The month lord is Mercury, which occupies the 12th house in the sign Virgo along with Mars. This is not a welcome feature, as the proximity of Mercury to Mars makes Mercury a malefic planet. Retrograde Saturn in the sign Pisces occupies the 6th house. The other important planet is Jupiter. Jupiter occupies the 8th house in the sign Taurus along with Uranus. It aspects the combination of Mercury and Mars. Moon occupies the Libra sign in the first house. It is quite close to the north node, Ketu. Only the sextile aspect between retrograde Venus and Moon is a positive feature. As a result of predominantly bad influences in the monthly chart, this month looks bearish to me,
The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for Aug 20 is Moon. Moon occupies the 1st house in the sign Libra. It makes a sextile aspect with retrograde Venus. It may therefore produce either bad results to cause the market to go slightly higher.
Mars is the compressed Dasha planet for the period of Aug 21 – Aug 22 in the new monthly chart. Mars occupies the 12th house in the sign Virgo. It conjuncts Mercury. The indexes may go lower during these days.
Rahu is the next CVD planet in the monthly solar chart. It occupies the 7th house in the sign Aries. It makes a trine aspect with Sun. This is a slightly favorable situation for the stock market. We can, therefore, expect a higher ending of the week.
Transits during this week: Jupiter and Uranus continue to transit through Taurus during this week. Rahu is transiting in Aries and Ketu in Libra. Sun continues to move in Leo, while Venus is retrograde in this sign. Saturn is also retrograde in the sign Pisces. The moon moves in Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius. The Moon moves through the last Tithi of the dark half to the 2nd Tithi of the bright half. The moon gives mixed results in this combination of signs and Tithis. The conjunction of Mercury and Mars is negative for the market. Combining the transit and CVD techniques, the following is my estimate of the daily behavior of the stock market.
Monday: Slightly lower; Tuesday: Slightly lower; Wednesday: Flat; Thursday: Slightly higher; Friday: Slightly higher.
