Jan 15 – 19, 2024

The S&P500 gained 83 points last week. I was also expecting a slightly higher market. The daily forecast was off this time.

Here is the expected breakdown for the week of  January 15, 2024, to January 19, 2024.

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for Jan 11 – Jan 15 is Rahu, the north node of the Moon. Rahu occupies the 5th house in the sign Aries. It makes the trine aspect with Mars. It may therefore produce positive results to cause the market to trade slightly higher

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for Jan 16 is Jupiter. Jupiter rules the 1st house and occupies the 6th house in the sign Taurus. It makes a trine aspect with retrograde Mercury and a sextile aspect with Saturn. It may therefore produce neutral results to cause the market to trade sideways or remain flat

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for Jan 17 – Jan 18 is Ketu, the south node of the Moon. Ketu occupies the 3rd house in the sign Libra. It makes the opposition aspect with Moon. It may therefore produce negative results to cause the market to trade slightly lower

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for Jan 19 – 23 is Venus. Venus rules the 3rd house and occupies the 5th house in the sign Sagittarius. It makes a trine aspect with Moon and a square aspect with Neptune. It may therefore produce positive results to cause the market to trade higher

A new monthly solar return chart is applicable from January 17 and will stay effective until February 15. The month lord is Jupiter, which occupies the 10th house in the sign Taurus. This is a positive feature. Direct Saturn in the sign Pisces occupies the 8th house. Saturn aspects Jupiter in Taurus. Saturn also makes a sextile aspect with Mercury. This is a neutral factor. The other important planet is Mars. Mars occupies the 6th house in the sign Capricorn along with Mercury. Jupiter aspects both Mercury and Mars, closely. This is a positive feature. Moon occupies the Aries sign in the 9th house but makes a square aspect with the Sun and conjuncts Rahu. This is not a welcome feature. Combining all the features, I find that positive influences are predominant in the monthly chart. This month, therefore, looks positive to me.

Transits during this week:  Jupiter and Retrograde Uranus continue to transit through Taurus during this week. Rahu is transiting in Aries and Ketu in Libra. Mercury, Mars, and Sun are transiting through Capricorn, while Venus through Sagittarius. Saturn and Neptune are moving in the sign Pisces. The moon moves in Pisces, Aries, and Taurus. The Moon moves through the 5th Tithi of the bright half to the 9th Tithi of the bright half. The moon gives mixed results in these Tithis and these signs. During the week, the Moon makes a few favorable aspects with Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter. while Jupiter aspects Mars and Mercury. Combining the transit and CVD techniques, the following is my estimate of the daily behavior of the stock market.

Monday: Closed;   Tuesday: Lower;   Wednesday: Slightly lower;   Thursday: Higher;   Friday: Flat

Overall, the S&P500 may go Slightly lower or remain flat during this week.

Aug 31 – Sep 04, 2020

A few weeks ago, I changed the format of this page. Instead of giving daily predictions, I am now writing about the shorter periods of the week. The basis is the compressed-vimshottri-dasha (CVD) planet in the monthly Solar return chart (mSRC).

My prediction last week was correct as SP500 gained nearly 100 points, as I was expecting a higher market.

Here is the expected breakdown of the week of  August 31, 2020 – September 04, 2020.

The CVD planet for the period August 30 – September 03 is Rahu. Rahu is placed in the 6th house with no aspect from any benefic or malefic planet. This is not a good configuration and could result in a lower market.

The CVD planet for the period September 04 -September 08 is Jupiter. Jupiter rules the 12th house and is situated in the 1st house in the sign Capricorn. Jupiter gets the influence of  Venus in the 7th house. This setup is good for the market and can result in higher values for the indexes.

Overall this week the S&P 500 may go LOWER, because the market may be down 4 days and up only 1 day.

The week after that may start with a higher day on September 08, 2020.
