May 16 – 20, 2022

S&P500 lost 100 points last week. I was also expecting a lower market.

Here is the expected breakdown for the week of  May 16, 2022, to May 20, 2022.

The compressed Vimshottri Dasha planet for the period May 16 – May 17 is Rahu. Rahu occupies the 3rd house in the sign Taurus.  It receives the negative influence of Saturn. Therefore, it may negatively affect the stock market and push the indexes lower.

A new monthly solar return chart is effective from May 18, and it will influence the stock market until June 17. The critical planet, Mars, occupies the 1st house in the sign Pisces. Mars is neutral in a sign of its friend but a water sign. Jupiter and Venus occupy the second house in the sign Aries. Since Venus rules the eighth house and occupies the sign of an enemy, it should give good results. The mutual exchange of signs between Mars and Jupiter is a positive feature of the chart. Two planets, Sun and Rahu, occupy the third house. This is not good for the month. The aspect of Saturn on Ketu is not good either. Mercury occupies its own sign, Gemini, and Moon is in Sagittarius, a sign of friend Jupiter. I, therefore, expect this month to be a slightly bullish month.

The compressed Vimshottri Dasha planet for the period  May 18 is Ketu. Ketu occupies the 9th house in Scorpio.  Therefore, it may not affect the indexes in a big way.

The compressed dasha for May 19 – 24 is Venus. Venus may give good results as it rules the eighth house but is weak in the sign of its enemy, Mars. The market may therefore move higher during this period.

Transits during this week:  Venus transits Aries along with Jupiter. Mars is still in Pisces. Sun moves in Taurus, and it is very close to Rahu. Mercury becomes retrograde in Gemini. The moon moves in Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. Saturn is in Aquarius and aspects Ketu closely. This setup can cause the stock market to go lower in the first half of the week but higher in the second half.

Overall this week, the market may remain Flat/Mixed.
