S&P500 lost 46 points last week. I was expecting a volatile market that would end slightly higher. It was extraordinarily volatile but ended slightly lower.
Here is the expected breakdown for the week of October 17, 2022, to October 21, 2022.
Jupiter is the compressed Vimshottri Dasha planet in the monthly solar return chart for the period Oct 17 – 19. Jupiter rules the 5th and 8th houses and occupies the 9th house. Retrograde Mercury aspects it. Therefore, this period may see no significant change in the indexes.
A new monthly solar return chart begins on October 20. The month lord is Venus, which occupies the 10th house in its own sign, Libra, but is entirely combust. This is a neutral factor. The key planet, Mars, occupies the Gemini sign, a sign of its enemy Mercury. Since it occupies the 6th house, its effect may not be that bad. The second house has retrograde Saturn in its own sign, Aquarius. This is also a neutral factor. The planet Sun rules the eighth house and is fallen. Jupiter, the ruler of the 12th house, is also weak as it is at the edge of a sign. Both Sun and Jupiter, therefore, may give positive results. Overall, this month, in my opinion, may be a volatile and mixed month for the U.S. stock market.
The compressed dasha for Oct 20 is Ketu. Ketu occupies the 11th house in the sign Scorpio. Saturn aspects it from the second house. It may, therefore, give poor results. The market may therefore move lower during this period.
Venus is the compressed Vimshottri Dasha planet for the period Oct 21 – 25. Venus occupies the 10th house in sign Libra. It is very close to Sun. Therefore, this period may be volatile, but the indexes may end lower.
Transits during this week: Mercury, Sun, and Venus transit through Libra during this week. Sun is fallen in this sign, but Venus rules this sign. Venus is combusting now. Rahu transits Taurus and Ketu Scorpio. They make a square aspect with Saturn in Aquarius. The moon moves in Cancer, Leo, and Virgo. The Moon makes both favorable and unfavorable aspects during the the week. The Moon cycle is on the downswing the whole week . This setup can cause the stock market to go higher on Monday and Tuesday but lower on the remaining days of the week.
