Sept 09 – 13, 2024

The S&P500 lost 244 points last week. I was also expecting a lower market, but I underestimated the impact of Mars square Venus, Rahu, and Ketu. The daily forecast was correct except for Friday.

Here is the expected breakdown for the week of  September 09, 2024, to September 13, 2024

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for  Sept 08 – Sept 12 is Venus. Venus rules the eleventh house and occupies the tenth house in the sign of its fall, Virgo.  It makes a square aspect with Mars and Jupiter. It also opposes retrograde Saturn in the fourth house. Consequently, the market may go lower during this period.

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for  Sept 13 is the Sun. Sun rules the ninth house and occupies the ninth house. It makes a square aspect with Uranus present in the sixth house. As a result, the market may go lower on this day.

Transits during this week:  Jupiter is advancing in the sign Gemini, while Uranus continues to transit through Taurus this week. Rahu is transiting in Aries and Ketu in Libra. The Sun advances in Virgo, whereas Venus has now moved into a sign of its choice, Libra. Mercury has turned direct but remains in Leo. Saturn and Neptune are well established in Pisces. However, both have turned retrograde now. Retrograde Saturn is not a welcome feature. Mars is advancing in Gemini, a sign of its dislike. Mars makes a square aspect with Neptune, one of the most challenging aspects. It has moved into its sign of fall, Cancer, on Sept 05. It is now also making a square aspect with Rahu and Ketu, which is another difficult situation. Fortunately, Venus in Libra has begun to make a trine aspect with Jupiter in Gemini. Therefore, we may expect the stock market to make an effort to recover at the end of the week.

Combining the transit and CVD techniques, I have estimated the stock market’s daily behavior to be the following.

Monday: Lower; Tuesday: Lower;   Wednesday: Flat;   Thursday: Slightly higher;   Friday: Higher.

Overall, the S&P500 may go slightly lower this week.
