About me

I am Raj Kumar Chadha. I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry and have held teaching and research positions at The Scripps Research Institute, the University of California, San Diego, and the Universities of Manitoba and Windsor. I have authored more than 100 research papers published in scientific journals.

My interest in astrology began in childhood as I listened to my father and grandfather discuss it almost daily. My interest in the stock market developed after I moved to Canada in 1979. Following the stock market crash of 1987, I began to wonder whether such events could be anticipated through astrological analysis.

After moving to San Diego in 1988, I continued my research into various astrological systems and their application to financial markets. Over the years, my research has led me to conclude that charts cast using the Tropical Zodiac, combined with traditional Vedic astrological principles, can provide valuable insights into stocks and market behavior.

My other interests include playing tabla with local musicians, oil painting, and homeopathy. I also teach playing Tabla and singing bhajans at my house. On the spiritual side, I follow the teachings of Srila Prabhupada and, along with my wife, am an initiated devotee under Radhanath Maharaj of ISKCON, Mumbai. My initiated name is Rupa Manohar Das.

I am now retired from The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla. With my children well established in their own lives, I devote much of my time to the study and practice of financial astrology.
