Oct 26 – 30, 2026

The S&P 500 declined 0.47%, while the DJIA gained 0.41% last week. I also expected it to remain flat. However, my daily forecast was off this time because I overlooked the combustion of Venus.

Here is the expected breakdown for the week of October 26, 2026, to October 30, 2026.

1. Vimshottri periods in the NYSE chart: Mercury/Rahu/Mercury/Jupiter until November 12: Stocks can go higher, particularly gold, financial and health care stocks.

2. Monthly Solar Return Chart since October 20:

Rahu is next in line in the CVD schemes. Its period runs between October 22-26. Its sign is Aquarius, and it gets the blessings of Jupiter in the Leo sign. The stock market, therefore, may be volatile but ends flat.

Jupiter is the next planet in the CVD scheme. Its control period runs from October 27 to October 30. It occupies the eighth house, and its sign is Leo. It makes an opposition aspect with the Moon. Mars is thus malefic and slightly weak. The markets can thus go higher.

3. Transits during this week:

The Sun is now transiting Scorpio, a sign of its friend. On Monday (Oct 26), the Moon transits Taurus and receives the Sun’s opposition aspect. The first Tithi of the dark half is generally unfavorable. Venus remains mildly combust. As a result, the stock market may fall slightly.

On Tuesday (Oct 27), the Moon advances in Taurus, squaring Mars and Jupiter, and opposing Mercury. As a result, Tuesday may also be a flat day for the markets.

On Wednesday (Oct 28), the Moon moves over to Gemini. It conjuncts retrograde Uranus. Wednesday may therefore be a slightly lower day.

On Thursday (Oct 29), the Moon transits in Gemini and forms a trine aspect with strong Venus. The net result may be a higher day in the markets.

On Friday (Oct 30), the Moon transits in Cancer, and its Tithi is the 5th of the dark half, which is generally positive for US stocks. Friday may be a slightly higher day in the stock market.

By combining the transit and CVD techniques, I have estimated the stock market’s daily behavior as follows.

Monday: Slightly Lower; Tuesday: Flat; Wednesday: Slightly Lower;  Thursday: Higher; Friday: Slightly Higher.

Overall, the S&P 500 is expected to be volatile and end slightly higher this week.
