Nov 18 – 22, 2024

The S&P500 lost 125 points last week. My forecasts have not been working lately. I will try to work out the errors.

Here is the expected breakdown for the week of  November 18, 2024, to November 22, 2024

A new monthly solar return chart is applicable from November 18 and will stay effective until December 17. The month lord is Mercury, which occupies the 5th house in the sign Sagittarius. Mercury gets the aspect of Jupiter. This setup should give good results. Mars occupies the first house in the sign Leo and makes a trine aspect with Rahu. This is also a desirable setup. However, three planets occupy the malefic houses. Moon occupies the 12th, Venus the sixth, and Saturn the eighth house. Saturn aspects Mercury and makes a square aspect with Jupiter. It can, therefore, only give inauspicious results. Moon gets the aspect of Venus. This is a positive feature. The Sun and retrograde Uranus are in opposite houses. Combining all of the above, I see both positive and negative features. This month, therefore, looks only neutral, maybe slightly positive to me.

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for  Nov 18-Nov 19 is Rahu, which occupies the ninth house in the sign Aries. Rahu makes square aspects with Venus in the sixth house and Moon in the twelfth house. Consequently, the market may be volatile but unable to find any direction during these days.

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for  Nov 20 – Nov 23 is Jupiter. Jupiter rules the fifth house and occupies the eleventh house in the Gemini sign.  Jupiter has a square aspect with Saturn and an opposite aspect with Mercury. This setup may be regarded as neutral. As a result, the market may remain flat during this period.

Transits during this week:  Retrograde Jupiter remains in Gemini, causing volatility. Retrograde Uranus continues to transit through Taurus this week. Rahu is transiting in Aries and Ketu in Libra. The Sun is advancing in Scorpio this week, while Mercury moved into Sagittarius on November 03. Mercury thus exchanges signs with Jupiter. Venus transits in Capricorn and Mars in Leo. Mars now makes a trine angle with Rahu. Saturn is no longer retrograde. Now, only Jupiter, Neptune, and Uranus remain retrograde.  Moon transits Cancer and Leo. The tithis of the Moon correspond to the third quarter, which is not very helpful for the market.

Combining the transit and CVD techniques, I have estimated the stock market’s daily behavior to be the following.

Monday: Slightly higher; Tuesday: Slightly higher;   Wednesday: Flat;   Thursday: Flat;   Friday: Slightly higher.

Overall, the S&P500 may go Slightly higher this week.
