The S&P500 gained 64 points last week. I was also expecting a slightly higher market. The daily forecast could have been better. Because the stock market is governed by news, the daily forecast can always be off by a day or two.
Here is the expected breakdown for the week of October 14, 2024, to October 18, 2024.
The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for Oct 11 – Oct 15 is the Saturn. Saturn rules the 2nd house and occupies the 3rd house in Pisces sign. It is retrograde, and it has an opposition aspect to Mercury. Both the planets are friends. As a result, the market may go slightly lower or go sideways during this period.
The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for Oct 16 – Oct 19 is Mercury, which rules the 9th house and occupies the 9th house. Retrograde Saturn aspects it from the third house, and Jupiter makes a square aspect from the sixth house. Mercury in such a setup becomes a benefit planet. Consequently, the market may go slightly higher during these days.
Transits during this week: Jupiter has now turned retrograde on October 08. Uranus continues to transit through Taurus this week and has also been retrograded. Rahu is transiting in Aries and Ketu in Libra. The Sun advances in Libra, whereas Venus will move into Sagittarius on October 18. Mercury has turned direct and moves into Scorpio on Oct 14. Saturn and Neptune are well established in Pisces. However, both have turned retrograde now. Retrogradation of four planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus, is not a welcome feature. Mars remains in Cancer, the sign of its fall. It is now making trine aspects with Venus. Fallen Mars also makes square with the fallen Sun. There are not many positive features except Jupiter’s aspect on the Sun. However, Mars makes trine aspects with Venus and Moon during the week.
Combining the transit and CVD techniques, I have estimated the stock market’s daily behavior to be the following.
Monday: Slightly lower; Tuesday: Slightly higher; Wednesday: Flat; Thursday: Slightly higher; Friday: Slightly lower.
