The S&P 500 gained 234 points last week. I also expected it to go higher, although my daily forecasts were a little off.
Here is the expected breakdown for the week of April 13, 2026, to April 17, 2026.
Rahu is the compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for April 13 – April 16. Rahu occupies the seventh house in the sign, Pisces. Rahu is conjunct fallen and retrograde Mercury. The pair is widely aspected by exalted Jupiter in the eleventh house. As a result, the market may move slightly higher during this period.
The next planet in the Vimshottri scheme is Jupiter. Its term of office is April 17 – April 20. Jupiter occupies the sign Cancer in the eleventh house and aspects Mars and Moon in the seventh house. This may cause the market to go slightly higher.
Moon is the compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for April 09 – April 10. Moon occupies the seventh house in the sign, Posces. It is a benefic planet is conjunct Mars. As a result, the market may go higher during this period.
Transits during this week:
The Sun is now transiting Aries, a sign where it is exalted. On Monday (April 13), the Moon transits in Pisces and forms and is conjunct Rahu. As a result, the stock market may go higher on Monday.
On Tuesday (April 14), Mars transits in Aries and is conjunct Neptune. Since Mars occupies a sign it rules, Tuesday may be a slightly higher day for the markets.
On Wednesday (April 15), Mercury transits into Aries. It is also conjunt Neptune. But Jupiter is exalted. April 15 may therefore also be a highly volatile day that ends either higher or lower.
On Thursday (April 16), exalted Jupiter makes a square aspect with the Moon in the sign Aries. Thursday may, therefore, be a lower day.
Venus is now transiting in Taurus, a sign of its liking. Saturn, however, is weak in Aries and is afflicted by a strong Mars. Friday (April 17) may therefore be a lower day.
By combining the transit and CVD techniques, I have estimated the stock market’s daily behavior as follows.
Monday: Higher; Tuesday: Slightly higher; Wednesday: Slightly higher; Thursday: Lower; Friday: Slightly lower.
