Bitcoin lost 3% in US Dollars last week. I was also expecting it to go slightly lower. This is a model that I am still testing. Please do not base your buying or selling decisions on it.

Overall, Bitcoin is expected to go slightly lower this week.

Yearly Forecast for

2026: Chaotic, but end flat

My forecast for 2025 was correct. The S&P500 rose from 5800 to approximately 6800. My monthly forecast was right for many months and wrong for one or two. The monthly forecasts for 2026 are posted in the sidebar under the title "S&P500 Monthly Forecasts". Please note that I expect 2026 to be much more chaotic than 2025. Saturn and Mercury will fall and retrograde during the first quarter, followed by a conjunction of Mars and Saturn in the second quarter. Both Saturn and Mars will fall in the third quarter. Consequently, there can be a few corrections of the order of 8-10%, but the year could still end up flat for the S&P 500 due to the conjunction of Jupiter and Mars and the strength of Venus in the last quarter.
The picture above depicts how the S&P 500 could behave in 2026, though I am not sure how much of it will actually materialize. Still, it is worth keeping in mind. This chart is based on monthly solar return charts, so there is only a single flat line for that month, but there may be significant volatility during that month. This chart shows that we may move up and down in 2026, but may end up unchanged. However, one needs to be careful during the periods Feb 17-March 16, July 17-Aug 16, and Oct 17-Dec 16, 2026.

Monthly Forecast

July 19 - Aug 19: Lower

Aug 20 - Sep 19: Slightly higher

During the period (06/18/2026 - 07/18/2026), the U.S. stock market, as measured by the S&P500, moved higher from 7420 to 7450. I was also expecting a volatile month that end flat.

The U.S. stock market may trend lower during next period (July 19 - Aug 18). The primary negative factor is fallen Saturn on the fourth-house cusp. Saturn squares retrograde Mercury and opposes the Moon in Libra, creating a highly unfavorable pattern. Mars is placed in Gemini, a sign ruled by its enemy Mercury, and occupies the sixth house. In addition, weak Mars and weak Venus form a square, adding further downside pressure. Although Uranus, Neptune, and Jupiter form a supportive configuration, their positive influence is unlikely to offset the weakness of Saturn, Mars, and Venus. Considering all factors together, this solar month appears likely to be volatile and end lower.

The U.S. stock market is likely to be highly volatile during the next solar month (Aug, 20 2026, to Sep 19, 2026), with a slight upward bias. Mercury is closest to the Ascendant degree, and it is placed in Leo, a sign ruled by its friend, the Sun, which strengthens its influence. There is no other planet that is within 5 degrees of the ascendant degree. The closest major aspect is a sextile between Mercury in Leo and Venus in Libra, which is the strongest sign for it. The next one is a square between Mercury and fallen Saturn. Three planets, Mars, Saturn, and Moon are fallen in the chart, while two planets, Venus and the Sun occupy the signs they rule. This setup suggests that this month could be highly volatile. Taking all factors into account, the outlook appears neutral to mildly positive. Therefore, the stock market may remain largely range-bound, with the possibility of modest gains.
