April 15 – 19, 2024

The S&P500 lost 80 points last week. I was expecting a slightly lower market. However, the daily forecast was quite off this time. Thanks to retrograde Mercury.

Here is the expected breakdown for the week of  April 15, 2024, to April 19, 2024.

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for April 14 is Mars. Mars rules the 2nd house and occupies the 12th house. It may, therefore, produce negative results to cause the market to go lower

A new monthly solar return chart is applicable from April 16 and will stay effective until May 16. The month lord is Mars, which occupies the 7th house in the sign Pisces. Mars makes a sextile aspect with Jupiter but it sits very close to Saturn. This is a negative feature. Saturn also makes a sextile aspect with Jupiter, which occupies the 7th house along with Uranus. This is a positive feature. Moon occupies the 12th house in the sign Leo house and makes a trine aspect with Venus. This is a neutral feature. Sun is exalted but occupies the 8th house with Mercury, Rahu, and Venus. Five planets occupy the inauspicious houses. Combining all the features, I find that negative influences are predominant in the monthly chart. This month, therefore, looks bearish to me.

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for April 17 is Saturn. Venus rules the 6th house and occupies the 7th house in the sign Pisces. It is placed very close to Mars and it makes a sextile aspect with Jupiter.  As a result, it may produce a lower market.

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for April 17 – April 20 is Mercury. Moon rules the 5th house and occupies the 8th house in the sign, Aries. It is retrograde, and it is in conjunction with Venus and Rahu, which is positive.  As a result, it may produce a slightly lower market.

Transits during this week:  Jupiter and Uranus continue to transit through Taurus during this week. Rahu is transiting in Aries and Ketu in Libra. Venus is now advancing in Aries, which is not a good sign for Venus. Saturn and Neptune are well established in Pisces. The Sun has now crossed Rahu, which is not a welcome feature. Mars has now crossed Saturn this week, a time to be vigilant. The moon moves in Cancer, Leo, and Virgo. The Moon moves through the 8th Tithi of the bright half to the 11th Tithi of the bright half. The Moon gives good results in these Tithis and the first two signs. Mercury is still retrograde and we just had a Solar Eclipse. Combining the transit and CVD techniques, the following is my estimate of the daily behavior of the stock market.

Monday: Slightly lower;   Tuesday: Slightly lower;   Wednesday: Slightly higher;   Thursday: Slightly higher;   Friday: Slightly lower

Overall, the S&P500 may go slightly lower during this week.
