April 22 – 26, 2024

The S&P500 lost 156 points last week. I was expecting a slightly lower market. You might have noticed that the results I get from compressed Vimshottri dasha calculated from the monthly solar return charts of the NYSE always give superior results.  Henceforth I will give priority to this technique over the second method of transits. However, I undermined the weakness of Venus in Aries, which also contributed to bringing the market down fast.

Here is the expected breakdown for the week of  April 22, 2024, to April 26, 2024.

The compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for April 22 – April 26 is Venus. Venus rules the 2nd house and occupies the 8th house in the sign, Aries. It is in conjunction with Mercury and Rahu, which is positive. Venus is a benefic planet but it is badly placed. It may therefore not be able to give beneficial results fully. As a result, it may produce a slightly higher market.

The next planet in the order of Vimshottri dasha is the Sun. It is active during the days April 27 – April 28. The Sun rules the 12th house and occupies the eighth house. Its effect, therefore, may not be strong in any direction.

Transits during this week:  Jupiter and Uranus continue to transit through Taurus during this week. Rahu is transiting in Aries and Ketu in Libra. Venus is now advancing in Aries, which is not a good sign for Venus. Saturn and Neptune are well established in Pisces. The Sun has now crossed Rahu, which is not a welcome feature. Mars has now crossed Saturn this week, a time to be vigilant. The moon moves in Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius. The Moon moves through the 14th Tithi of the bright half to the 3rd Tithi of the dark half. The Moon gives mixed results in these Tithis and these signs. Mercury is still retrograde until April 25. Combining the transit and CVD techniques, the following is my estimate of the daily behavior of the stock market.

Monday: Higher;   Tuesday: Slightly higher;   Wednesday: Flat/mixed;   Thursday: Slightly higher;   Friday: Slightly lower

Overall, the S&P500 may go slightly higher during this week.
