Aug 31 – Sep 04, 2020

A few weeks ago, I changed the format of this page. Instead of giving daily predictions, I am now writing about the shorter periods of the week. The basis is the compressed-vimshottri-dasha (CVD) planet in the monthly Solar return chart (mSRC).

My prediction last week was correct as SP500 gained nearly 100 points, as I was expecting a higher market.

Here is the expected breakdown of the week of  August 31, 2020 – September 04, 2020.

The CVD planet for the period August 30 – September 03 is Rahu. Rahu is placed in the 6th house with no aspect from any benefic or malefic planet. This is not a good configuration and could result in a lower market.

The CVD planet for the period September 04 -September 08 is Jupiter. Jupiter rules the 12th house and is situated in the 1st house in the sign Capricorn. Jupiter gets the influence of  Venus in the 7th house. This setup is good for the market and can result in higher values for the indexes.

Overall this week the S&P 500 may go LOWER, because the market may be down 4 days and up only 1 day.

The week after that may start with a higher day on September 08, 2020.

Note: This forecast is strictly based on astrological considerations. This is only for academic interest and not intended for trading.

  1. Hi Mr Raj,
Thanks for your ongoing valuable advise in this challenging financial market.
Would you be able to look in to Rivian Automotive Inc (RIVN). This year and long term growth possibilities.
    Kind regards – Prince

My astrological analysis suggests that RIVN may strucggle for a while before doing good. You may try to find other EV companies.

Good morning from Desert Arizona, seems like cold weather is going to stay little Longer here for a change and spring is about 2 months late for a change

i wanted to ask about stock UPST IN PAST, you had mentioned that it has a very good Astrological chart,

would you please kindly look at its Astrologically to see whether it will Recover any and if so when, i do realize at present there is plenty of Negativity in the market

your opinion matters because you always tell exactly what you feel !!!

Thanks for nice comments, although I don’t deserve them. I think I have been wrong about UPST. The chart is good, but the major-period is not. It may survive but I don’t see the recovery in near future. I would unload it slowly in case it goes up.

  3. Hello Dr. Raj

I am a little confused between your “early warning” article and forecast for 2023, they don’t seem to gel with each other. Which one are you leaning towards for 2023?

Also, 2023 forecast seems to be having some crosses too in Jan-March timeframe, any chance you are looking at updating the system?

You are right. There is some conflict between monthly, yearly, and long-term forecasts. It is bound to happen because sometimes rallies also occur in the bear markets. Broadly speaking, here is my long-term view:
Trading in a range until April 15, then a bull market until July 15. After that, some months may be terrible, and some months extremely good, alternatively until February 2024. Then, a new and fresh bull market may start in Jan 2026.
I hope you understand that I may have to update my view as time passes.
      Thanks

      • Hi Dr. Raj,

Thank you so much for this elaboration. Just so I understand your prior prediction, we will see bad months in Aug-Sep 23 and Dec 23-Jan 24. I see you state a new bull market in 2026. So what happens in between Feb 2024 and new bull market in 2026? Less extreme swings/volatility and rangebound action? Is it safe to think that any lows from this economic crisis will be seen prior to Feb 2024, or is 2025 still a danger?

        Thank you for your insight.

We may continue to see bull and bear swings and wide ranges. One can do well if one becomes contrarian and courageous. I have yet to do monthly studies for 2025. So I cannot give you you any more clarity. Let us first try to handle swings of 2023 before thinking of 2024 or 2025.

  5. Hello Raj,
When do you think oil bottoming out?
I think it could be bullish after the low this year but it seems hard to figure out the time.
It’d be great if I can hear your opinion
    Thank you always.

Saturn has just moved into Pisces, a sign that indicates Oil. Saturn causes dryness and shortage. Therefore, I think the oil price may go higher soon when Saturn moves by a few more degrees.

Could you please share how this contagion will shape up for rest of year? Your updated thoughts on Early warning page. Thanks a lot

I think, the rest of the year can be forcefully volatile in both directions. One has to be quick to take actions of buying and selling. One must use stop-loss orders to protect the capital and any gain. My long-term studies about the market show that it will be a while before a fresh bull market starts.

  7. Good Afternoon Dr. Chanda,

I have a little money in Invitae symbol NVTA. I invested four years ago. NVTA had its ipo on February 12, 2015 on NYSE. I know it’s better to be in a biotech ETF but since I am already in it I am wondering if it might survive how it’s chart looks? If you have the time to also see what the chart looks like for Crowdstrike ipo on June 12 , 2019 on the nasdaq. Thank you again for your time.

    Sincerely,

    Kiran

I am sorry for the late reply. And I am also sorry for the NVTA. I am now realizing that it is not a wise idea to buy small biotech companies individually. I have sold all of my shares. You may also think about exchanging any small biotech company to a biotech index such as XBI.
Regarding CRWD, I would say that it may take a while to come back but it would be worth waiting for this stock.
      Good luck

Considering my astrological analysis only, AMC may not give solid returns in the near or far future. Sporadically it may give good results but not consistently. AI on the other hand may outperorm the market over time.

  8. Greetings Dr. Raj,

As always, thank you for your immense time and efforts and extremely valuable input! I have been following for years, and this is my primary resource for such materials-your guidance is much appreciated!

I was very pleased to read your recent evaluation of COIN (you stated that you would begin buying again in May 2024, with upside anticipated to begin in June 2024). This would coincide almost exactly with the new four year cycle of BTC (with the “halving” occurring between March-May 2024). This once every four year event is the catalyst for the bull runs we’ve seen in 2013, 2017, and 2021. As COIN runs in tandem with BTC, is it safe to assume that BTC will begin its upside ascent at around the same time?

On an opposite note, although I know you never provide a “numeric” or quantitative value to any market tops/or bottoms, is it also safe to assume that the crypto “bottom” (which mirrors the stock market at this point and moves in tandem) will find itself somewhere between your predicted downsides of Aug-Sept 2023 or Dec 23-Jan 24.

Thank you so much for your input!

Thank you for your views about my views on bitcoin and U.S. stock market. Yes, it appears that currectly the two move in tandem. It is safe to assume that the Bitcoin may also see severe corrections in the two periods you mentioned.
