Aug 31 – Sep 04, 2020

A few weeks ago, I changed the format of this page. Instead of giving daily predictions, I am now writing about the shorter periods of the week. The basis is the compressed-vimshottri-dasha (CVD) planet in the monthly Solar return chart (mSRC).

My prediction last week was correct as SP500 gained nearly 100 points, as I was expecting a higher market.

Here is the expected breakdown of the week of  August 31, 2020 – September 04, 2020.

The CVD planet for the period August 30 – September 03 is Rahu. Rahu is placed in the 6th house with no aspect from any benefic or malefic planet. This is not a good configuration and could result in a lower market.

The CVD planet for the period September 04 -September 08 is Jupiter. Jupiter rules the 12th house and is situated in the 1st house in the sign Capricorn. Jupiter gets the influence of  Venus in the 7th house. This setup is good for the market and can result in higher values for the indexes.

Overall this week the S&P 500 may go LOWER, because the market may be down 4 days and up only 1 day.

The week after that may start with a higher day on September 08, 2020.

Note: This forecast is strictly based on astrological considerations. This is only for academic interest and not intended for trading.

  3. Hare Krishna Prabhu,
I would like to know your thoughts on Tencent. IPO date 16 June 2004 Listing in HongKong.

I think the chart closely aligns with Vimshottari. Would you please be able to confirm? I’m about 20% down on this stock. Do you think it would be worth doing $ cost avg on this stock and holding it for about 1-2 years?

    Thank you

TC2000 shows the chart from November 2008. I therefore cannot confirm whether Vimshottri dasha is applicable or not. I would therefore prefer to use Shashti-hayini dasha. Assuming your date is correct, this stock has just started Moon Dasha. Moon is well placed and has the company of Venus and Mercury. I would therefore opine that it should be ok to give it some time to recover.
      Good luck

I think the market may correct in July 2023, especially the third week of July. This may include chip stocks and AMD and NVDA.

  4. Good evening, Dr. Chadha.

Good call on SMCI! Like you, I sold too early, right before its ascend to the stratosphere.
My other position of your 2023 good stocks is BABA. I hope it gets out of its rut soon.

Dr. Chadha, would you kindly look at TPL (Texas Pacific Land Corp)? Its NYSE IPO date is 1975-05-29.

Thank you so much for your generosity with your work.

    Sincerely,

1)Could you please share which would take precedence and difference between these
Solar chart, lunar charts, transits, compressed vimshottari, vimshottari or any other which I missed out mentioning.
2)For rest of the 2023 how do you see Nasdaq-100 performing?
    3) would you please be able to share your thoughts on Gold for rest of the year?

      Hare Krishna.
Here are my answers in brief to your question.
      1. Solar chart is the new chart created when the Sun comes exactly to the same position as the natal position every year.
The lunar chart is similar, a new chart is made when Moon comes every month at the same position as the natal chart.
Vimshottri dasha is 120 years long. But we can compress it to one year using the same order of planets. For example, Venus’s period is 20 years. In the solar chart, its period is reduced to 20/120, or 1/6th of a year, which is approximately 2 months.
      2. I see a correction in all indices during the first 3 weeks of July. Then volatile up and down moves during the 3rd quarter of 2023.
      3. I think one should hold gold in every portfolio, maybe 5-10% of the value of the portfolio.

  6. Dear Dr. Raj,
    P. Narsimha Rao based in USA, a noted astrologer predicts big war 2030/2031. Russia/China like Germany in WWII. Basically, sees this entire decade with problems, obviously started with COVID, war, climate disasters, etc. With all ups & downs will market still produce muted positive return over the next decade.

My field of study is only financial astrology. I therefore give no opinions on wars and politics. But PNR is a very reputed astrologer. He may be correct.

  7. Good Evening Dr. Chadha,

I was wondering if you could take a look at the stock chart of OPRA ,opera limited? Seems to have gone public on March 11, 2004 on the Oslo stock exchange in Norway.

Also I know super micro computers the stock you mentioned in the beginning of the year would do well… how good does the chart look for next year for the stock? Thank you for your help.

The data you provided for OPRA does not form any excitable chart. There are many other better stocks out there in my opinion.
Yes, SMCI has been my star performer of 10-best for 2023. I unfortunately sold it too early. But its dasha is good for next year also. I will try to buy it again when market corrects.

I will be rechecking all of the calculations soon. I will then post them on the website.
Currently, I think, we are safe until June 30. But the first three weeks of July may bring scary days.
      Good luck

Please let me know your thoughts on nvidia based on astro. How much run way can we expect out of this stock based on dasa’s /transit?

    • Pawan:
NVDA is running a Mars period in the 60-year cycle that I use for the stock IPO-day charts. Mars is the strongest planet in the chart. So, overall it would be a good time to invest in NVDA long-term, except for the minor period of Mercury, which runs between Sept 2023 and Aug 2024.
      Good luck
