The S&P 500 gained 78 points last week. I expected it to go slightly lower. However, the week was very volatile as forecasted.
Here is the expected breakdown for the week of August 03, 2026, to August 06, 2026.
Saturn is the compressed Vimshottri dasha planet for July 31 – August 04. Saturn occupies the fourth house in the sign Aries in the monthly solar chart. Saturn is a malefic planet and gives poor results in this sign. The market may, therefore, move down during these days.
The planet in the Vimshottri scheme is Mercury, and its term of office is Aug 05 – Aug 09. Mercury occupies the sign Cancer in the seventh house and makes a square aspect with fallen Saturn occupying the fourth house. Mercury is a neutral planet, and it is placed in a Central house. This may cause the market to go slightly lower.
Transits during this week:
The Sun is now transiting CLeo, a sign it rules. On Monday (Aug 03), the Moon transits Aries, and it forms a trine aspect with the Sun in Leo. It also gets closer to retrograde and fallen Saturn. As a result, the stock market may end FLAT on Monday.
On Tuesday (Aug 04), the Moon continues to transit Aries, and it forms a square aspect with Mercury in Cancer. As a result, Tuesday may be a slightly lower day for the markets.
On Wednesday (Aug 05), the Moon advances in Taurus. It also forms a square aspect with Jupiter. Wednesday may therefore also be a higher day.
On Thursday (Aug 06), the Moon, while transiting in Taurus, makes a sextile aspect with Mercury. The net result of which can be a slightly higher day for the markets.
The Moon enters Gemini, and Venus enters Libra on Friday, August 07. The Moon makes a sextile aspect with Jupiter in Leo. The Sun is also strong in Leo. Friday may be a higher day in the stock market.
By combining the transit and CVD techniques, I have estimated the stock market’s daily behavior as follows.
Monday: Flat; Tuesday: Slightly lower; Wednesday: Slightly higher; Thursday: Slightly higher; Friday: Slightly higher.
