Aug 31 – Sep 04, 2020

A few weeks ago, I changed the format of this page. Instead of giving daily predictions, I am now writing about the shorter periods of the week. The basis is the compressed-vimshottri-dasha (CVD) planet in the monthly Solar return chart (mSRC).

My prediction last week was correct as SP500 gained nearly 100 points, as I was expecting a higher market.

Here is the expected breakdown of the week of  August 31, 2020 – September 04, 2020.

The CVD planet for the period August 30 – September 03 is Rahu. Rahu is placed in the 6th house with no aspect from any benefic or malefic planet. This is not a good configuration and could result in a lower market.

The CVD planet for the period September 04 -September 08 is Jupiter. Jupiter rules the 12th house and is situated in the 1st house in the sign Capricorn. Jupiter gets the influence of  Venus in the 7th house. This setup is good for the market and can result in higher values for the indexes.

Overall this week the S&P 500 may go LOWER, because the market may be down 4 days and up only 1 day.

The week after that may start with a higher day on September 08, 2020.

Note: This forecast is strictly based on astrological considerations. This is only for academic interest and not intended for trading.

  1. Dear Raj. Please you should revert back to older methods for daily prediction which was 70% correct.
You should understand that it is not possible to achieve more than 70% accuracy due to inherent astrology assumptions.

You did very good daily predictions for most of 2013 and early 2014 and I believe that was best you can achieve via any Astro tool. Or may be you publish 2 lists – one based on older method.

Thanks for keeping faith. I have back tested the new technique thoroughly and would like to try it out. I will also keep track of the results by old method. If I see better performance from old method, I will revert, other wise continue with new method.

      Thanks

      again

  2. Dear Raj,

I see on your website for every Month , you are putting up 7 balls with different colors. Can you explain how to interpret these balls with different colors flashing.

    Thanks in Advance.

  3. dear Raj,
with mercury going into debilitation at end of March and Jupiter in star of mercury, i suspect a market drop… Do you agree and if so for how long?
Thank you as always- you are doing brilliant and insightful research/analysis.

Mercury between 17-27 degrees can bring a correction. But that would stay only for 5 days, so I do not think there will be a severe correction during that time. I am suspecting May may be a tough month.

    Good morning
I have been reminded that there are many signs that the bull market is coming to an end and a crash is coming.

Do you see that in the astrology reading.

    thanks for the advice

    Amy.

In my view there is no crash in the near future. People have been talking of a crash since 2009. So listen to their advice with some doubt.

  5. Dr. Raj,
Good morning, i had a question for you,as a senior 70+ this means quite a bit that is why i thought i write to ask your Astrological opinion on it. they say there is NO inflation here atall. but when we go to market to buy day to day living things– size has become almost halved and prices we paying is almost double but you read every where there is NO infaltion atall. Astrologically, when will inflation will start showing up here or atleast visible to authorities( i am sure they must be going to markets too) and will be significant enough for them to worry
    thanks as always

US government measures inflation in its own way, which is certainly different from a common man’s point of view. Jupiter is exalted these days so inflation is certainly increasing as you see it in the market. Surprisingly exalted Jupiter is increasing the strength of US dollar instead of gold. I could not explain this.

      Thanks

  6. Hi Raj,

I would like to know your thoughts on the below..

Recently I had the opportunity to talk a tenured Astrologer (not career though), and she mentioned about unanswered questions in the Astrology community on Babies that are born via scheduled C-section. There appears to be a new trend in India wherein the C-section is being scheduled based on strong planetary positions. The charts for these babies are guaranteed to look good.

Now moving to stocks, I don’t have data on this claim, but the Chinese stocks (JD, BABA etc) are likely to select IPO date based on Chinese astrology. Hence, is it possible that most of these have good outlook?

If the IPO date is based on the positions, wouldn’t the next important aspect be the astro outlook of the senior management of the company (as their decisions are going to impact the company outlook), & the astro of the particular sector and also the birth time of the company?

Would like to know what you think about these “selective/chosen IPO dates”.

    thx

You have raised very interesting questions. I will give you my personal opinions.

As for the first question, I believe the laws of Karmas cannot be changed by selecting an opportune time for the birth of babies by C-section. In India people are ready to do any short cut for success, sometimes they succeed sometimes they don’t.

Regarding the second question, I do not think the stock market selects the IPO date as suggested by the companies. It is possible that Chinese companies may be using the astrology to find an opportune date, but the investment bankers and stock market work on their own schedule. It is clear from the fact that for every JD or BABA there are hundreds of failed chinese stocks.

For the your last question, the effect of sector and market should always be seen even while investing on the basis of astrology, although it has been seen the many stocks in the same sector have some similarities in the planetary configuration. However the influence of the senior management should be evident from the position and strength of Sun in the chart.

      I hope this helps.

AAPL chart has many unique combinations, rarely found in other charts. I therefore believe any body can buy it any day, and he/she will be rewarded with time.

      Good luck

  8. Sir,
In my opinion retro or direct movement of major planets brings changes in financial market. Retrogation of saturn will bring cheers to metal sector. Financial markets will touch it’s historical highs during the transit of Jupitor in Leo. One should exit from the market once Jupitor enters in second pad of Sun nakshtra in vergo. During this period Metal & Financial Sector will out perform.

    Regards.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have not done any real study on metals. You may be right on all the points you raised. I will appreciate if you provide some evidence towards your claims.

      Thanks

Thank you for encouraging remarks. I really appreciate that.

Yes I am aware of Magi astrology. There are many sources, such as IPOdata, IPOscoop, Tim Bost, Jay Ritter, Bill Meridian etc besides yahoo.com.
My rule is to confirm any IPO date at least from two different sources before studying a stock chart.

      Thanks

      Raj
