Yearly & Monthly Forecasts for

Year 2024: Bullish

My forecast for 2023 could have been better. S&P500 rose from 4000 to approximately 4700. My monthly forecast was right for many months and wrong for a few. Here is the result of my study for 2024 months based on monthly solar return charts for the NYSE. The net gain in 2024 may only be in the range of 8-12%.

Monthly Forecast

Nov 18 - Dec 17: Flat/Sideways

Dec 18 - Jan 15, 2025: Bullish

During the period (10/20/2024 - 11/17/2024), the U.S. stock market measured with S&P500 went higher from 5864 to 5870. I was also expecting a higher market.

The market may go sideways during the period, from November 18 to December 17. The month lord is Mercury and it occupies the fifth house in the sign Sagittarius. This is a neutral feature. The critical planet, Mars, occupies the first house in the sign leo. This is also a neutral feature. Saturn in the sign Pisces occupies the eighth house, which is a negative feature. It makes a T-square with Jupiter in the eleventh and Mercury in the fifth house. This is an undesirable feature. Moon occupies the twlefth house in the sign Cancer and gets the aspect of Venus. This is a positive feature. Combining the effects of all features, I think we may have a solar month that could go nowhere, only sideways.

The US stock market may esume going higher during the month (December 18, 2024, to January 15, 2025). Jupiter is retrograde and occupies the third house in the sign Gemini. This is a favorable feature. It aspects Venus in the eleventh house. Moon occupies the fifth house and also aspects by Venus in the eleventh house. This setup of three benefic planets can also be beneficial for the markets. The planet Mars in the sign Leo occupies the fifth house. It makes trine aspects with Mercury occupying the ninth house and Rahu in the first house. This is another positive feature. Saturn occupies the twelfth house in Pisces, and is involved in square aspect with Mercury in the ninth house. This is only an unfoavorable feature. Considering everything together, I am of the opinion that this month can be a higher month for the U.S. stock market.
