Aug 31 – Sep 04, 2020

A few weeks ago, I changed the format of this page. Instead of giving daily predictions, I am now writing about the shorter periods of the week. The basis is the compressed-vimshottri-dasha (CVD) planet in the monthly Solar return chart (mSRC).

My prediction last week was correct as SP500 gained nearly 100 points, as I was expecting a higher market.

Here is the expected breakdown of the week of  August 31, 2020 – September 04, 2020.

The CVD planet for the period August 30 – September 03 is Rahu. Rahu is placed in the 6th house with no aspect from any benefic or malefic planet. This is not a good configuration and could result in a lower market.

The CVD planet for the period September 04 -September 08 is Jupiter. Jupiter rules the 12th house and is situated in the 1st house in the sign Capricorn. Jupiter gets the influence of  Venus in the 7th house. This setup is good for the market and can result in higher values for the indexes.

Overall this week the S&P 500 may go LOWER, because the market may be down 4 days and up only 1 day.

The week after that may start with a higher day on September 08, 2020.

Note: This forecast is strictly based on astrological considerations. This is only for academic interest and not intended for trading.

  1. Dr Raj,

Can you tell when we can expect good days for TRIP and EMES in the near future?
TRIP fell 13% today and EMES is falling as well.

    Thanks

I seriously believe both these stocks are good stocks to own. Sometimes even leaders crash to recover in time. There are hundreds of examples, such as GOOG, NFLX, AAPL. Only thing you need is time. I hope you have time to wait and see these stocks to recover.

      Hope this helps

  2. Hi Raj,

Zulily fell 20% today. Can you please tell us if there are good times for this stock anytime soon.

SDRL and MPEL are in exalted Jupiter in transit List..they are falling from their peaks. Does this mean that the good times are over for these stocks?

    Thank you

I never liked the astro-chart of ZU. And I do not think this stock would recover soon. You make your own decision about selling. Sometimes you have to take losses to prevent further damage.
SDRL is however a different story. In my astrological view it can start recovering in Feb 2015. I am myself holding it in my portfolio, although it is about 1% of the portfolio, and I would not average down.
I am not sure what to say about MPEL. I do not own it, because I do not like to invest in gambling stocks, although it was in my Jupiter-exalted portfolio.

      Hope this helps.

Generally Saturn’s transit over natal Moon is considered bad. However Saturn’s transit over Sun may effect the government and the head of state.

  3. Hi Dr. Raj,

I am curious as to what astrological signatures are involved in the US market going up in the third year after the presidential elections. I include the following quote from the American Association of Individual Investors “the third year in the presidential term has the best performance, as there have been no Dow Jones industrial average losses in pre-election years since war-torn 1939.” Following is the link to the article: http://www.aaii.com/journal/article/using-seasonal-and-cyclical-stock-market-patterns

    Can you comment?

This happens perhaps because first-time president wants to be re-elected or second time president wants his party to win the next election. To do that the presidents triy to invigorate the economy in the third year of the presidency. Astrologically, it is tied to Mars-Jupiter cycle. Conjunction and opposition occurs every 2.25 years. The whole cycle takes about 4.5 years to complete. But I do not consider this of much importance. I use solar-return charts to look at the economy of USA. In my view, which I will publish shortly, 2015 is going to be an ordinary year.

      Thanks for the article.

As per my astrology, more likely than not, JD is going to be a successful company. The stock will go up and down like any other stock. I am keeping it for long term.

      Good luck

As you mentioned SPWR has had it rough and all solar stocks are down also
you also mentioned that once Saturn moves in NOvember or December it will change its fortunes ????
would you be kind enough to explain and elaborate more on this and when exactly we should expect that time period wise

    thank you as always,

  5. Another stock which aparently has a good astrological foundation is IBM.. although this has recently plummeted due to poor financial results and bleaker outlook. Do you think this can rise like the phoenix goign forward or are we looking at a dead stock?

    • Jayman:

IBM is going through a bad Mahadasha. It may take quite a few years before it rises again. Fortunately we have new IBM’s in FB and AAPL.

To make money with FCEL you may have to wait, wait and wait. Then when opportunity comes, do quick buying and selling. In my view there are many other better stocks.
You are unnecessarily wasting time with FCEL.

          Good luck

As always thankyou for your comments.

I am a holder of FCEL and and as such will hold and have a limit price in mind so hopefully this can be caught on the rise.

I mentioned Biomarin BMRN to you a few months back to which you had understood to have had it’s best day behind them. Since this, the stock has risen to almost a yearly high….

My analysis of BMRN was erratic at that time. Its stock-chart does show success.
The astro-chart made on the date you provided by you does not explain its previous behavior. I am therefore hesitant to make any conclusion about the future performance of the stock.

              Good luck

  6. Hi Raj,

I recently stumbled on your site and find the information very interesting and productive. I tend to use the turn dates from western astrology as an additional indicator along with TA. I am just curious on the big differences btw Vedic and western astro from a stock market perspective.. pl share some light..

Also, if you could comment on AZO (which you have as a 4star stock), based on TA, AZO appears to be a low risk short candidate and yes, i always use stops 🙂

thanks for sharing your work and helping ppl..

There are quite a few differences in Western and Vedic Astrology from any point of view. One is that there are many western astrologers who invest their money using Astrology. I am perhaps the first to use Vedic Astrology to invest. I am still in the process of establishing the rules. Someday I will publish them in totality. It is a very good idea to use TA with astrology. I do the same. I am a little familiar with Western Astrology but not with turn dates. You may please elaborate.

AZO is definitely a good stock. Looking at its astro-chart I would not short it before 2017.

      Good luck

Since Saturn is about to move out of Libra, I think F might move in a range for some time to come. In my astrological view, it may be a good stock for swing trading, not for long term hold.
I cannot say any more on F.

      Good luck

I am planning to buy NQ in the next few days…this stock has been a roller coaster so far. Could you kindly advice whether I shoud be long or short in this stock for the next 30-60 days?

The astro-chart of this stock clearly shows its roller coaster behavior. You should use technical analysis to find bottoms and tops for short term trading. My astrological analysis will not be able to do what you are looking for.

      Good luck

How about NCR? They had a major downside today on weak 2014 results but traditionally this has been a solid stock. Do you think it would worth to get involved in this stock?

Thanks again for your guidance on this matter.
